Exploring Senglea: A Hidden Gem in Malta

Senglea Malta, Royal Enfield HImalayan, Malta Ride, Motorcycle Adventure

Finally I made it out and on the road !!!!

What a relief it was. I know it has been a while since I’ve had the chance to go out and enjoy a ride that wasn’t just a commute to work and back. Life has a way of keeping us busy, but I finally carved out some time to explore and experience new places.

During my outings, I managed to visit a couple of interesting spots that I can’t wait to share with you. I’m now in the process of sorting through all the videos I captured, and I’m excited to say that I think I’ve finally succeeded in improving the sound quality. This has always been a challenge for me, but with some perseverance and the right adjustments, it’s coming together nicely.

Although the new microphone and camera I recently acquired arrived after those specific recordings, I assure you that they have already made a significant difference in my content creation. You’ll be able to judge the enhanced setup in the next video, which I am looking forward to sharing soon. Stay tuned for an updated viewing experience!

So, without further ado, let me introduce you briefly to Senglea in Malta. This picturesque location is rich in history and culture, offering stunning views that are simply breathtaking. I can’t wait to take you along on this journey and show you all the beautiful sights and sounds that Senglea has to offer. 😊

Senglea

Senglea (L-Isla), also called Città Invicta (or Civitas Invicta), is a fortified city in Malta’s Port Region. Senglea is one of the Three Cities in the Grand Harbour area. It sits alongside Cospicua and Vittoriosa. The city has a population of about 2,720 people. The title Città Invicta means “invincible city.” The city earned this name after it successfully defended itself. This happened during the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. The name Senglea comes from Grand Master Claude de la Sengle, who built it. Senglea is the 52nd most populated area on the island. It is the 2nd most densely populated locality after Sliema. This is due to its small size.

I was never good for history so won’t bore you about any of it.

If you liked the videos and want to know more about the city, I highly recommend visiting the Culture Malta website, which serves as an excellent resource for anyone interested in exploring the rich heritage and vibrant culture of this stunning location. There, you can find a wealth of information on this beautiful city, including historical landmarks, local traditions, and upcoming events that will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the area. Additionally, the website offers insightful articles and guides that can help you plan your visit, ensuring that you don’t miss any hidden gems or unique experiences that only the locals know about.
